There is no hole below the key cylinder to remove it. Do I drill one, or what? Help!!

if this is anything like my dad's 88' E350, you should turn the igntion to the on position and push a drift pin in the hole. there is a little button in there that you have to push, and it will only move when the ignition is in the on position.

You don't have to drill a hole if you don't have the correct maintenance manual go to your local libruary and they will have all the information you need. Good Luck

I've worked 25 years as a master locksmith and used to do quite a bit of automotive work, but have gotten out of it in the past few years so its been a while but some of the Fords you need to drop the shroud around the steering column to access the retainer for the ignition. Should be 4 to 6 phillips head screws from the bottom to separate the 2 halves of the plastic shroud. As was said earlier, once you can see the retainer pin just turn the key to the on position and that will allow you to press it in and remove the cylinder.
