My dads 93 Mark VIII looks like a low rider. The other day he drove it to work, the suspension was working fine. Came outside after work and it looked like it had been slammed to the ground. Tried driving home to see if it would pump back up but it wouldn't. I popped the hood and if i listen kinda down by the passenger headlight it sounds like a compressor is pumping air. But the car won't pump back up. I have checked the switch in the trunk and it is in the ON position. Any idears?

Most likely the rear air bags are bad. See if you can hear an airleak in the back when the compressor is running. It won't be real loud but you should be able to hear something if you get close.

Same old story, rear airbags in fords seem to have this problem all the time.

Rubber doesn't last forever - plus a**hole chevy drivers and stupid people like to jack some of these cars up off the ground until the wheels are hanging at which time the compressor tries to compenate and explodes the airbag(s). Note to newbies: shut off/unplug the compressor(s) before going to a garage or changing on the spare. If a garage guy blows 'em out there's no way they want to pay for replacing them. (pricey) (And many garage lifts let the wheels hang).
