Heya. New to the forum, and all that . . .

I have a 1974 Ford LTD (4-door), which I am hoping to begin the process of 'restoring'. Does anyone know of a good location to get some stock or equivalent parts for this beast, specifically interior appointments? I'm going to need new window handles, a new steering wheel, etc. I'd also like to find a replacement hood ornament.

Am I stuck with junk yards, or does someplace offer this kind of stuff?

I'll also be doing a full engine rebuild at some point, but I imagine that I can find most things for the 400 that's in it at any parts store.

Any advice people can offer would be awesome!

Thanks.

Chris

Doh! Don't know I didn't think about JC Whitney. My father in-law shops there like a grocery store.

That will be one of my many stops, then, on the road to making this car as cool as it should be. Assuming it survives the 700 mile trek from Wyoming to Oregon. I don't think it likes living at nearly 8000 feet . . .

I have a 1974 Country Squire wagon body. Parts are mostly intact(no engine or transmission). The whole thing is pretty ugly so I am parting this vehicle out (have Washington title). I intend to salvage anything that would fit my wife's torino(not much), but I don't need the rest. As much as I hate this thing in my yard, I'd rather see it go to good cause than have it crushed. Let me know if you are interested in parts. bryant_kramer@hotmail.com

Cool. A Country Squire would most likely work excellently, since it's basically the same car. I've sent you an e-mail for more detail . . .
