have a 1997 ford f-350 4x4 460,aod that has hard starts when reaches temp. but starts finewhen on the way to temp. or completely cold. ground from block to frame has been checked,two new starters,battery good,alt good,battery cables good,wrapped the exaughst with heat wrap still if i drive long enough and stop at the store it will either barely start or wait till it cools down to start fine. any suggestins will be greatly appriciated!!! (going on two yr. problem and two garages.....this truck has a plow if that helps.) THANKS!!!!

 

Ford is notorious for starters that wont start hot
or your timing is too far advanced

 

hey thanks for the feedback. the timing is dead on. starters (3) since iv'e owned it, (1 ford 2 not ,not rebuilds. presently aftermarket one installed) dono what it is.... thanks again.
