The stock air filter box broke, and I couldn't find any others. I made a friend at a local tuning shop, so I picked up an aluminum adapter and filter for a song. I had some gasket material handy, so I did the following. Please excuse the bed sheets.

What's a popular way to insulate the filter from hot engine air? Also, can I give it more cold air as is, or so I need some other ducting?

What about a box enclosure around the air cleaner that close's up against or closeto the underside of the hood, with the cold air intake inlet out the front or side/inner fender area.. Got a 'bunch' of old S/D air cleaner boxes from the retrofit to the dual core units :)

I'll try something with cardboard just to get the shape set up. What do you think should be used to make the box?
