Thanks for trying to help!!!!!!!!! When our edge is warmed up it is fine, but in the morning ,or when it sets for a while ,and has a time to cool down, it will seem like it misses a gear and slams into the next gear hard because the rpms are high. The rpm usually goes up to 4500 rpm.because it seems like it missed a gear .Usually this happens around 30-40 mph. It seems to miss 3rd gear.

I too, own a 07 Ford Edge that DID have transmission trouble. I have had it back from the garage for 5 weeks works flawlessly !!! The problem was rendered at Courtesy Ford of Altoona, PA. This dealership is centerly located in PA. The service managers name is Scott. Ask to speak to him. Scott's transmission specialist is very educated in transmissions.
