A/C not working or is the compressure locked-up? You may have a leak causing no a/c. Need to know if you hear anything, is compressure turning, and anything you've tried. :eek:

Hummmmm, I had a ford Explorer do very similar thing once , the fan motor was over heating , trying to burn up , the small of plastic was the fan , melting on the shaft, an the grinding was the armatute coming apart ,, hope thats all you got cheap fix , probaly like $100.00, Maybe ,, Good Luck ,,, You did tell the guy to give you an est. for the repair I hope ???

Yea having a motor seize up is never a good thing .You can try pulling the spark plugs an cranking it over to see if it spits coolant out the cyl head where the spark plugs were , Is there coolant in the rad. ???, Blown gaskits on Taurus are quite common .
