185,000 owes me nothing but has been a great all around vehicle, does not burn oil and does not leak oil, sounds great too when it is running
Many new parts still wont start. We have fuel to plugs and spark to the plugs. Recently we have replaced the oxygen sensor as a ford dealer diagnosed it to be the problem and well not quite. We still intermittantly wont start, seems to not be weather related and can run fine for weeks/months. When it wont start and without doing anything to get it to start, put key in and it will just start. This has been happening now since early last summer (June).

New Cables, spark plugs, fuel filter, coil, oxygen sensor

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Might check into the ignition switch...with that many miles you may have some worn contacts in the switch itself. Depending on the year of the truck the ignition switch should be attached to the top of the steering column under the dash. A rod is used to connect the part that your key goes into down the top of the colmun and into the actual switch itself. Thats alll I can come up with off the top of my head.

After further testing from the coil out cable to the distributor we have found not to have spark and we have also tested again for spark at the spark plugs, both tests have failed to show any spark. Would you still consider the ignition switch?

Well if your not getting spark then there are other things to consider. First what year is the truck? You could be having an issue with the electronic ignition control module that is wired to the distributor and coil. It is a small aluminum device that is about 6 inches square and about 2 inches thick. Some say motocraft on them. I have seen them get real flaky from time to time. I am not sure on the cost but if you are not getting spark right now and you know someone with a similar truck you could do some part swapping and see if the issue stays with the module or the truck.

I'd have agree with 94 on the module in the past I've seen them everything from what yers is doin to dien all at once. Just my 2 cents.
