I guess it kinda depend's on what kinda music you like too. 95 Ranger 08-17-2006, 11:54 PM I thought about a set of Pioneer 6"x9"s. 05ranger 08-23-2006, 12:56 AM Pioneers are great for the cash. If you want better sound and price isnt a big deal, go with a coponent set. They normally run about 150 bucks, bus regular speakers cant compete with them. They are the setups that have an external tweeter and woofer with an external crossover. This is the more expensive way but speakers like pioneer and those are a great way to add better sound and clarity. ky_ace 07-09-2007, 04:02 PM If you are only doing speakers a 6x9 is great for a "bass" providing speaker. I'd go with a 3-way in the rear and factory replacement size 2-ways up front. If you are putting in subs, i would go with 6.5 rounds components or a 2-way, 3 way like the 6x9. A round speaker seems to produce crisper mid sounds than an oval. Just my .02 BM chase4494 07-20-2007, 10:22 PM the pioneere 6x9's are great for a ranger i wired my older brothers single cab ford ranger with 2 6x9's in the back and 2 more pioneere's in the front and for there price they are great and they are runnen off a 50x4 pioneere cd player and its sounds nice..you can get 4 speackers for about 75 bucks or got to junk yards and look in the cars and truck out there they'll sel lthem real cheap. tech12volt 07-26-2007, 08:58 PM Why are you guys putting 6by 9s in a ranger. the factory holes are 5by 7s . Either way a nice 6.5 component set will sound better than either and you can adapt them over very easily. |
