bought an 87 ford bronco 2 and everything worked well except that the 4 wheel drive wouldnt engage, what do i check so that it can work??? .... just recently i went off roading and hit a really big pot hole, this caused my truck to turn off, hasnt turned on since,,,i already pushed the inertia switch for the gas and still nothing, both fuel pumps work , theres no fire coming from the spark plug wires, already changed the spark plugs and the ignition coil,,,still nothing, what else can i check or change to try and get my truck to turn on ? ? ? can it be the distributer cap or the ignition switch???which one do i change first, or is it something else.....,,, thanks,,,,,

Under the hood over one of the fender well's.[hr] Also do you have power to the 4x4 switch?

i havent checked those fuses yet, can it be that one of them is burnt out and the distributer cap and ignition module are still good....i dont think that i have power to the 4x4 switch....little light dont turn on, also you know when you put the key in to start the vehicle, well when i turn mine to the point where the radio can be heard, it doesnt work, not even when you turn the key all the way back as to not waste the battery power, what can that be from?

The ignition switch on the steering collum may be bad.[hr]If you have no power to the distrubitor the distributer cap and ignition module should still be good.[hr]as for the 4x4 switch check the fuse and look in the power box and see if there is a relay for the 4x4.I[hr]f there is see if you can swap it with another to see if it is bad.[hr]Also try this same method with the EEC relay in the power distrubtion box.
