The service guy at the ford dealer removed the fuse for my ABS as it is giving me problems, when he did I noticed the airbag light has come on. It flashes 2 times then 9 times, can anyone help me.

What year is your Escape?

DTC B1891/Light flash code (LFC 29) Air Bag Tone Warning Indicator Circuit Shorted to Battery or Ignition

Depending on which fuse they removed,, looks like the RCM (Restraints Control Module) shares power/fuse positon with ABS.. What was the original complaint with the ABS?

It was the fuse #5 (ABS Unit). The problem was left front abs tone ring broken & the right front tone ring cracked. Recommended replacing both front abs tone rings, estimate $1,125.00. As they found the front & rear brakes & rotors need replacing, rear differential output seals leaking badly, transmission needs servicing, along with the front stabilizer links very noisy, which was a total repair of $2500.00, we opted to disconnect the fuse for now & start with the brakes and repair each concern from most serious to least. But when I left I noticed the airbag light. Sorry to load all this on you but this is what they found. thx

Just looked in my manual and you are correct this fuse does share position with the ABS. I am so frustrated as I bought this vehicle as is in October and had no idea all this was wrong. Thx for your help.
