The bearing on my friends 94 Taurus SHO went bad after 5 months so I pulled it out to replace. Now I can't get it back in because the belt is so tight. How do you adjust the tension on the belt? The alternator sure does not seem to move enough to loosen. Is there some adjustment somewhere else. The alternator probably went bad because the belt was so tight. Any suggestions???

there should be a tension pully near the center of the engine there will be a square slot for you to put a wrachet into just like putting a socket on the wrachet. That will allow you to get the belt loose. hope this is what you were looking for.
