Mar 25, 2024 02:40 PM - permalinkHello I'm Tina the one with the Ford explorer sport Trac that won't crank I checked the reset fuel button and I believe it's called the INERTIA button. Not sure if I got the right one but I pushed it and it still won't crank it did backfire and sounded like it was you know sounded different than what it did before like it was trying to start or it would have tried but it just it didn't so do you have any ideas what else I could try

Have a 2002 Ford e-150 econoline. Had the radiator replaced a year ago, recently had a kill switch installed and in that process the radiator fitting for the overflow was broken. Am trying hard not to have to replace the entire radiator again if I could just find this small plastic part; it screws into the top tank. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mar 7, 2018 06:10 PM - permalinkHanky -I changed out the autolite (New ) plugs with motorcraft..(.Major difference). At 35 MPH and up-there is a slight stumble if you take your foot off the gas pedal -..nearly to idle position..slight..nothing like before plugs were changed...I did find a vacuum line cracked at the air intake box..
Again-coil-cap-rotor-wires have been changed.. The 4.9 idles and starts perfectly.Just the slight stumble or miss...?
Thanks 1996 E250 4.9L automatic - 70,000 miles -
Mar 1, 2018 08:36 AM - permalinkThank you for the advise-The misfire started after I had a water pump replaced-The following day-The van would not start-finally after cranking and cranking it started-sparks jumping off spark plugs to block-rough running.I then replaced the Coil-Cap-Rotor-wires.
Since then it runs great-except the intermittent misfire. So maybe the autolite plugs..I will give it a try. -
Thank you for trying to help I have been told this 1936 Ford has one thermostat and one water pump
