1988 Ford Ranger, 2.3 L, 5 speed, long bed, regular cab, mid mount fuel tank.
I was driving along and the engine stopped.
No hum from the fuel pump when turning key on.
I pulled the pump and tested it on a battery,it runs.
I tested the fuel pump plug with a meter, no voltage..
I checked the fuse, ok.
I replaced the green and black relays on the passenger side fender well with junk yard parts. Still nothing.
I cleaned the battery terminal connections. They are after market lead type.
The high pressure pump on the frame was new about 3 years ago.
Which pump makes the hum when the key is on?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Rich
