Angry 99 Ford Explorer won't start.

I was driving when the truck cut off in the middle of the street. I tried several times to restart it to no avail. As a result of that my battery went dead, when I tried to get a jump it still would not start. I checked for fuel pressure on the shrader valve, but there was no pressure. I then replaced the fuel filter, checked all of the fuses and they are still good. When I turn on the ignition I can hear the whishing of the fuel pump, but still no pressure. Other than that I have had no trouble with my baby. I recently purchased a new gas cap from O' Rileys to help get better gas mileage. Help me please, it really sucks waiting on so called friends to drive me around.
