Having the same problem with our freestar! ANyone have specific instructions? The panels do not easily pull off after removing screws and we are leary of breaking off any clips. Also, need detailed instructions on how to reinstall the handle. Thanks!

Hi There,I have a similiar challenge with my liftgate--I pull on the handle and it moves, but the gate will not open. I try unlock/lock the door and still no movement from the gate. The handle pulls out freely, but something inside is either jammed or broken. I am wondering if I pop the inside panel, if I can replace the mechanism and get it working again myself. Thanks for any help/suggestions!
