Default 2004 F350 white smoke at tail pipe

I've got a 6 liter w/ stock airbox and 4.5 in wide turbo back flow through exhaust no cat no baffle. My truck is not responding well from low to mid range rpm when not completely warm. White smoke usually billows at about 2500 rpm and the truck barely accelerates until full warm. After truck warms slugishness and smoke reside. The problem is intermittent but usually there. The truck is very slow to warm up. Can you please help.

You have a bad EGR cooler. Hope you have less than 100k on your truck, an extended warranty, or $3,500 for the repair shop.

Good luck.

Could just be the EGR valve too! Which would be MUCH easier and cheaper to replace!!!!

Can I just pull the cooler clean it and change the valve to fix the problem, if so how much work is involved?
