Default escort coil burner

I have an escort that is burning coils.. did the usual replace wires, plugs,, even the coil harness.. traced the battery grounds back and cleaned them.. went through the alternator, looked at voltage at idle, and under load.. seems normal, checked continuity through the harness with PCM disconnected.. no shorts it doesn't seem.

Tested at battery for stray voltage.. had drain across disconnected negative terminal that traced back to the "room" fuse.. took it out and solved the "problem". I also put a different used PCM in.

after fooling with the Room fuse, and trying to run it without it plugged in.. the car barely runs(with a new coil.. typically it runs a wile on a new one).. put the room fuse back in, and it ran a bit better, but not great. I see now that the PCM is powered by the Room fuse. Tomorrow I will reload the PCM with the Room fuse plugged in.

The room fuse is marked hot at all times.. but the draw at the battery seemed excessive... odd deal here.. sure would like to get this fixed so I can get my truck back from my wife..lol

Any thoughts??
