The wife has a 2001 Escape with the V6 ,leather sun roof and all the bells. I don't know what model it's called.
The throttle is very touchy and if you just touch the gas pedal it jumps pretty quick. It also drags the throttle a bit when slowing to a stop. It seems to take three seconds to slow the motor after the pedal is lifted.
I cleaned the butterfly valve and the cable seems fine? It also gets boor mileage because of this jumpy dragging throttle.
What could cause this???
