New 2011 F250 6.2L XLT Supercrew !
Hello All!
I am now the proud owner of an F250 with the 6.2Litre engine and XTR chrome package with the centre consule. I have 4700km on the truck now and have been getting 19-20 mpg on the highway. I don't want to look at the intown mileage!!
This truck replaces my 14 yr. old Dodge 4x4 extcab which btw never gave me any trouble at all. I did a lot of research on Fords as it came down to either a Ford or a Dodge. I am hoping to keep this Ford for at least as long as the Dodge was around and with my driving habits it will be still "young" at 14. This truck works like a tractor in the bush! I have the 3.73 locking rear end and love it. I took those Continental tires off the rig right away and put on Bridgestone Revo Dueller AT's in the 18 " size -A really good choice for all around running. Where I hunt [NW Ontario] it's rough and dirty and these tires [and the truck!] did not disappoint. It's also quite the head turner. So far it's held up to it's promise and will soon be hooked up to a 26 foot trailer which it will have no trouble pulling. Bye for now!

Hi Escaped...
Well...yesssss!!! Fairly overjoyed actually. The truck has some very nice options on it that i never had before like the tailgate ladder 7 assist bar, rearview camera and the 6 spd trans...60km/hr rpms are just over 1000. Hwy spd like 95km/hr @1400-1500 rpm. I got 19+ mpg on the way back from Dryden to Thunder Bay last week and the truck had only 4500 km on the odometer. Rides like a car -can't believe this is a 3/4 T with a 9400 lb GVW..."they say" it'll do better for mileage than the 5.4 triton - I'm waiting... in the meantime it's turning alot of Chevy heads! Go ahead and get one I don't think you'll be disappointed!
