VCT Solenoid on Escape XLT 3.0 2009
Hi everyone,
First question : Is it normal to have this in trouble after only 160 miles??
Second : Have YOU heard about it before for 2009 models?
Third : If I accept the repair by the dealer, Will I have problems with that i the future?
THANk YOU!

Same issue on Ford Escape 2009
Hi,
I just had a similar issue with my Ford Escape. The dealer tells me that they need to replace the VCT Solenoid. They indicated that the part is on back order and do not know when they will be able to get one. I am not impressed.

I'm guessing this is a known issue... on every 2009 Escape. It is now July, parts still backordered and that's what my Escape needs. I'm at about 10K miles.
I had my Escape for 4 days and they had to do something related to the Exhaust system. Another known issue.
My take is that since this is the "redesigned" version we will see many "bugs". I miss my 2006 Escape.
