Default 62 Ford Fairlane 500

I have recently been given a 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 289 small block, due to the passing of my uncle. It has 62,000 original miles and is really a beauty. does anyone know how I can find some history on this model and maybe to see how much of it is indeed original. I will add pics as soon as I can, it really needs waxed.

Thanks in advance for any input

Welcome to the site, sounds like a sweet car..

Sorry about your loss.. Do post some pics of the car! WE love pics of old Ford iron, or at least I do If you live long enough,, you eventually become a collector! I have my Grandparents 61 Rambler Classic that I removed the original dealer installed clear plactic seat protectors on,, plus, the front seat 'reclines' which paints a terrible image in my mind!! Have my Mom's 72 dodge Dart all original except I refreshed the paint, and of course tires ect.

Probably your best resources would be specific model sites, and book literature for your year model, plus they tend to have the best compiled collected of data and specs. Some here I'm sure could answer some of your questions, but really specific data may need to come from a collection of avenues..

Don't forget the pics
