i forget the exact name of the red the car im planing to buy is but im trying to figure out if i sh would pate oem or a flashier shade of red or go gloss black maybe. it has red interior in good condition minus a curling dash pad which has a red dyed plastic dash cap on it. and the black top on it has a few holes in it. that reminds me if i paint it red do u think a new top with glass rear window would look beter in white or black. im attaching photos so u can see how it looks now.

go with a black top it matches the car way better. is the back glass plastic or glass? the reason I ask that is because most rag tops have the plastic window so that it fold up with the top down. as for the paint pearl black or maybe midnight blue would make for a good match with the top and the interior

 

the top on the car now has a vinyl rear window. but Dearborn Classics offers a glass rear window or vinyl option. will the glass window top no interchange with a vinyl window top?

 

glass does not bend it breaks or shatters so when you put the top down most of the time the rear window should fold up with the top. the old fairlanes like the back in fifty's had the power convertable top and went into the trunk compartment they had the glass rear windows the car that is shown in the pictures isn't power and they didn't bend or fold up either it was a hard top that turned into a convertable
