I just pick up an 90 bronce, glass is in the up postion and wont go down key doesnt turn in lock. and switch doesnt work I am getting power from the switch, I removed the access panel and cant figure any thing out. anyway to get the glass down so I can remove the whole tailgate and replace it? I guess i could break the glass, but really dont want to do that, and also I found another tailgate complete in working condition, would it be easier just to replace the whole piece instead of fixing it

 

I just took apart a replacement tailgate to paint it to match my Bronco. If you first make sure the left hand latch is fully close. If that don't do it you can go thru the inside panel, reach down and pull the wiring up. There is a disconect plug that will give you direct access to the motor on the female side of the plug. Jump with an extra battier. If it doesn't go down reverse positive and negative.
