i pulled the crank sensor out and it has physical damage on it. What does the crank sensor read off of. There is damage on the block side facing away from crank. What could be hitting it, and what else could i do to fix it? Thanks for any help

According to the code you rec'd, the ECM isn't receiving correct input circuit signal. I would try to insure that the correct reference voltage is being supplied to the ECM and is available to the other components. This is generally in the 5 volt range. Unless you have a means of determining this you are flying blind. When you start switching engines from different years, you open the possibility for a multitude of problems. It has become so critical that you almost have to get an engine from another exact same vehicle in order to switch and have everything work properly. Not knowing what caused your original engine to self destruct and no history on the replacement engine I am also flying blind. Maybe it's something simple and maybe not. I would like to assist you more, but am unable to do so . Sorry, hanky

well thanks for trying to help. We used a maunal engine because they said it would work. Well the crank sensor on a manual block sits in closer to the block while the auto sensor sits further away. The bolts are running on the side of the sensor instead of under it so magnet isnt picking up. So now we're trying to change the crank sensor sleeve, if not then its time for auto motor. Thanks guys

ok guys I got it running. The problem was the sensor sleeves are different from manual to auto. We removed the sensor sleeve and replaced it with auto sleeve and she started right up. Hope this helps anyone else. Thanks for your help guys.
