Cooling Fans Come On When Cold
Here is an odd question. What makes the cooling fans come on when engine is first started in the morning and it's cold? The car isn't overheating - I had the coolant flushed, the thermostat replaced, and the temperature sender sensor replaced. I did plug up a connector by the washer fluid reservoir recently.

No, I turn everything off when I park the car. I have noticed that if I shut off the car and the fans are on, they come back on when I start the car. They start up with the engine cold and without regard to warm or cold weather (we've had both over the course of three days). The A/C compressor is seized. The only code set is P1383 which I think implicates the timing belt. This whole thing is puzzling to me.

Well - as an update.... It turns out the cooling fan assembly was bad. One of the fans was failing. It was really noisy. Apparently they aren't extra noisy just because you drive the car fast (65mph) on the Interstate for several miles. I replaced the radiator when they did the cooling fan assembly. The mechanic told me it wouldn't be long before it failed. This saved me some labor to do it along with the fans.
