1998 Crown Victoria cuts off when I let off the gas

When you crank it ,it will run as long you have your foot on the gas but you take your foot off the gas it goes dead

Check for vacuum leak.

Also check the Idle Air Control valve. It acts like the old choke and idles the engine up when cold.
