Default Dead Battery and low idle problems

I bought a 2007 CVPI on the 11th of Oct. The car had been sitting several months in a garage and the battery was down. So I did not think to much about it. The battery was just a little over 2 years old. We jumped if off and away I went. No problems on the way home filled it up with gas etc. The first couple weeks I was getting the car cleaned up and looking everything over. So I charged the battery overnight. I decided to drive my wife to therapy in it and when I stopped at the mailbox to get the mail it stalled and lundged forward. The Car was cold and it restarted right away. Well The third time I drove it to work and on the way everything seemed fine. After work it started fine but I had a air bag light flashing and the car was only running 400RPM in gear and lundging and trying to stall. Came out of a resturant and the old CLICK,CLICK,CLICK. Jumped it and took it home. Seat belt light on, Air bag light flasing. I had a bad battery and a open diode in the alternator and the throttle body was as dirty as I've ever seen. Now it purrs 650RPM in gear after it drops back and no lights in the dash after start up. And runs out great. Sunfish

Thanks for the info. Low voltage on more and more of the newer vehicles will produce some weird results as I'm sure you already know!
