Let's hope Ford isn't making the same mistake as when they discontinued the Taurus.

I think they are making a big mistake.I was in shock all day yesterday. For not only the loss of the Crown Vic but the Lincoln town cars as well.In the Limo business the Lincoln was the crowning achievement. No other vehicle could match the class and luxury the Lincoln had to offer. The Crown Vic catered to a whole other crowd. Older folks and law enforcement. From what I hear most law enforcement preferred the CV. I see why too. I can't see this working out for Law Enforcement.I can't see it working out for the taxi business either. It concerns me greatly. The only thing I can do is to hold onto my Crown Vic as long as I can. I cannot go the route of a smaller car. Not with a large family and elderly father to cart around. So even though my 2003 crown vic has some problems. I better hold onto it forever. Let's see how that wors out. I need a pile of money to keep her going. I still can't believe this has happened.

Here's a video of my crown vic. It's in need of a paint job and some body work. I parked it in the shade to film this . I figured it made the car look shiny. It's really dull paint and it's chipping in spots. So I figure next year I'll have it painted.

This is my salute to the Crown Vic.

Gotta admit it ain't what today's young folks are looking for, but it doesn't ride like a sporty wheelbarrow either.
Looks good to me , hang in there !

I never could get into them smaller cars. I'm a die hard, "big car" gal.
Thanks Hanky.

Actually you'd be surprised how many young folk come up to me and offer me money to buy mine. I think the allure of a fast cop car is what drives them.

Default What to do....What to do

I agree .......i was going to sell my 03'CV because the company I work for just bought me a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis.......I'm 6'4" and have driven a lot of cars in my sales career,,,,,,,in the early days I drove a Bonneville, Impala, Malibu and Taurus ......15 yrs ago I switched to CV's....I have probably had 5 in that 15 yrs.......in 2003 I took a job that allowed me to buy my own car. I bought an LX with every feature but sun/moon roof. The company gave me $1200.00/mo. allowance.......So basically they paid for it but I own it......My 03' has a lot more options than the Grand Marquis.......I may just keep the CV.....I wish I could talk my wife into selling her Caravan and driving the CV....we'll see

I used to sell cars too. For a brief while anyway. I too have drove an Implala. Also had a thunderbird. Also a Ford Mustang when I was in high school. I really liked my little mustang. I agree ,your wife really needs to dump the Caravan. I once thought I wanted a van , but my husband and just about everyone around me told me not to do it. I think she would be better off in the CV too.Man you got to keep the LX. You lucky one ! Free car. That's really awesome.
