Rain floods inside via fresh air inlet.
Carpets get soaked on passenger front side after big rains. All door & window gaskets are fine. Rain comes inside via the passenger fresh air inlet.
WOULD IT HARM THE CAR IF I BLOCKED THE PASSENGER FRESH AIR INLET?
It's a back-up car that I don't drive much. I hate wet vacuuming & mopping it's floor after rains.
I did remove a BIG mouse nest inside the "Screen Assembly" and I drilled some drain holes. #9 on http://www.fordoempartsoutlet.com/v-...as/body--ducts That helped, but it still soaks!
It's a 2009 Lincoln Town Car, a Crown Vic sister. Only has 110k miles. When not used, which is most of the time, it's winterized, and battery cables are removed. No garage, so sits outside.
Ideas?
Thanks, Nancy

There is an evaporator drain which can be seen from the passenger side engine compartment against the firewall just below where the heater hoses go into the vehicle.
It is about an inch wide and closes when no water needs to exit. That drain may be clogged or maybe just stuck closed..
What might make this whole job easier, remove the blower motor (3-4 small screws) and either blow compressed air to dislodge the blockage or maybe vacuum out what you can..
