No Trouble
Thanks for responding Scott, well I put cam back into position and installed new chains and guides, put It all back together and on initial start up ran Hinky until fuel system got it together and then it ran great, no codes, no noises, no trouble, I was so worried about what I did but it turned out OK, next time I will definitely use cam locks, ordered reman injectors and new coils just for fun then I don’t know what else, any suggestions? Thanks again Scott...

Long as you put everything back together the way it was before nothing to worry about. 4.6 is a pretty easy engine. If the timing was off you would have running issues. You didnt ask but since your replacing injectors and coils, on the off chance your gonna do plugs as well, PLEASE GOD DO NOT USE BOSCH SPARK PLUGS. I dont know why fords dont like them.

A long time ago , a Ford parts sales rep called on my shop and told me Fords run best and worked the best with OEM parts. I was using aftermarket parts and since I knew this gentleman a few years , I paid attention to what he did to help me. I did find, YES, Fords run best with Motorcraft plugs , and genuine Ford parts. There are a lot of good aftermarket parts out there, but there are a lot of "Other" parts too. Once you learn the value of mostly staying with OEM parts , you don't usually change unless you have no choice. The old adage still applies, "You get what you pay for".
I agree with Scott, Fords do not like certain parts or "Modifications / Additions" to their electrical/ electronic systems. Learned this the hard way.
An ongoing problem out there has been , Knock off, white box specials, Imitation original appearing parts out there. You need to be aware of these things when purchasing replacement parts.

Hey Scott -hanky, I think your right about the OEM parts, usually I can’t afford them, but lately I’ve been finding good deals on eBay, had it apart again yesterday to put some 40. Dollar for 8 coils and reman injectors, it runs really good, scanning eBay last night I found 8 motor craft coils DG508 and plugs for 80 bucks new, last time I looked they were 45. apiece, so when the wife’s not looking going to get them, been running NGK platinum, they seem ok, Thanks for input guys...

Hey Scott and hanky, although I have a K&N in there I’m not paying 300 plus for cold air kit, spent Saturday dremmel tooling the bottom of my air box and running 3” aluminum dryer Ducting down to valance to grab air, spent about 20 bucks at Home Depot and guess what, I couldn’t feel a damn bit of difference, ha..thing runs pretty strong for 138k,I have ford racing intake, stainless Borla exhaust, and hanky, going have to wait about a month before I get my motor craft stuff, you know “the warden”. Later
