On my '01 Crown Vic, the wipers began to park in full up position on occasion. I got online and found several solutions. I took off the reverse clutch plate, cleaned and lubed it, and they went back to normal park.The problem again showed up after awhile, until they always park straight up. I did an oil change tonite, then decided to tinker with the wipers again. I ran them on lowest interval position, where they return to a down position. After 2 or 3 cycles, I took a screwdriver and pushed the clutch plate to the right, then quickly turned the wiper switch off. They parked normally, first time in a month. All functions of the multifunction switch operate normally. My conclusion is that the clutch plate is causing this. Any other suggestions out there? Thanks
