‘08 E150, Battery draining, source is something on fuse 22
#11
The latest news on that e150 is that the battery switch had a loose joint and was preventing the charging, ( if the switch was bad how did it allow the van to start ? !) , so the battery switch was removed and it’s been charging and not draining.
The other , bigger issue is intermittent a no-start situation that seems to have some connection to the anti-theft system. We just have steel keys and not the original chip key . Most of the time the van starts but once in a while and at the worst time like at a gas station, the red “anti theft” dash light will flash and the van will refuse to start , but do nothing and try again in 2 hours and it will start. We have searched and searched for solutions but have given up and will trade this 300k mile van in soon.
Also, The dealer won’t make a new chip key for a van older than 10 years. The van has a small head gasket leak .

Well the issue I’m having is the one mentioned in the thread. The van is pulling Ma when it’s off. I did a draw test on it and figured out the draw goes away when I unplug the instrument cluster. I can hear the relay clicking being the right side of radio.
