Default 1994 E 150, side doors

This has the double side doors. The cable for the back one that lets it open is broke. How do the panels come off? There are no screws in them and I can't get them to just pop off. Is there any way to just pry the door open. With it shut, you can't access the bottom of the panel, it sits below floor level.

Well, I need to get it open. Guess I will cut out the panel.

Hi Rusty,
According to memory which is pretty foggy about now, if you have some type of decorative trim panel there should be what was called scrivits and the center unscrewed and allowed the retainers to collapse and then be pulled out of the holes in the door. Is this what you have? You must lift the panel covering to allow the bottom retainers to unhook from the door edge.

No decorative trim. No fasteners visible.

Like I stated earlier a little foggy,
the area where the lic plate /door release has a plastic frame that you loosen the screws from the inside and the whole assy comes out. Now you can release the door latch and go from there.. It has been a long time since I played with one of them.

Side door, not the back.

Can't figure out any way to get it off. So I guess I will cut a hole in it. Can't even find a diagram of the inside of the door. My Haynes manual does not even mention the door.

Finally pryed the panel off. Still can't get the lock rod to move. Soaked it with oil last night. Will try to move it today.
