1998 E350 7.3l updates
My new van in awesome and I love her~! I have already gotten an offer to buy her. No way! The cork flooring is in and looks amazing. The interior noise reduced at least 20%. Next up is to take out the seats and install carpet. Not sure what to do with paneling and insulating the walls and roofs. I do not want built ins. I am trying to think of ways to only use modular parts so I can swap out the interior options. Day use with bikes and surfboards, or longer term camping travel. Among the many rv places I have taken her for estimates, there is abundant differences in pricing. Right now the service engine soon light goes on and off. One mechanic ran a diagnostic and the glow plugs were indicated. The van starts fine and does not skip a beat. I will take her today for more estimates and try to get a feel who the most honest mechanic will be. Someone who I assume knows something about the engine said it was made by international? This is one of the reviews I read about the engine:
Diesel Power Magazine ranked the 7.3L one of the top ten diesel engines ever produced. Today, over two million 7.3L engine-equipped Ford Trucks are still in operation – more than Chevrolet, GMC, and Dodge diesels, combined. During its 9 year production run, the 7.3L was widely acknowledged as a leader in diesel engine technology.
Yay!
