i have a 99 e-150 has a miss at idle and a dead spot when punching the pedal , check engine light on . so far my rube goldberg mechanic has changed - wires,plugs,coil pack ,egr valve the funny thing was i let it sit for 2 weeks ,started it and it ran PERFECT light went off brought it to inspection ,pulling out of inspection the check engine light comes back on i can't keep dumping cash in this boat so any suggestions ? the code came back as bad EGR valve ,i noticed it also has a EGR pressure switch which was not changed also my first code was no#1 injector prob .but hasn't gave that code in a long time ,any ford mechanics here ? rube turned the idle up thinking i was stupid and i had to stand on the brakes to stop this tank ! it has the 4.2 motor
