Default 2000 E 250 heater Problems

Hi I have a 2000 e 250 van, i have no heat. I checked the heater core the coolant goes through OK . I checked the air door and it is working OK , I replaced the Thermostat still not much heat, the heater hoses dont get hot and Im thinking that the coolant is not circulating for some unknown reason. In the fall i replaced the Radiator, the original radiator was a three core and the new one was a two core but it does not overheat . Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The heater core may be what we call air bound. In which case all you need to do is to remove the highest heater hose at the heater core with the engine idling and only remove it far enough for any air to escape . Once coolant only comes out the air bubble should be gone. You can do this without the engine being hot in which case you should not get scalded with hot anti freeze. Let us know if this helps solve your problem.

Default Heater trouble

Are both hoses hot going into heater cire. If only one is the core is probably plugged. It is also possible that the core is plugged and not letting the coolant circulate. Since Fords use a by pass hose the vehicle wont overheat. You could take the oses off and hook a garden hose to it and see what kind of flow you have.
