2005 Not your typical cyl missfire Help?
I have a 2005 E-250 4.6 Check engine light read codes cyl 3 missfire
i replace coil pack and boot and spark plug ran great 400 miles
CEL on again and flashing poor performance going through mountains missing again
Codes Cyl 2, 4 , 5 and random missfire
Tech replace 2 4 5 coil packs started up ran ok for a few minutes then ran rough again
Technician said missfire on cyl 2 and checked for signal going to injector 2 and said when you first crank it it flashes a few minutes then goes out ? He said possible bad computer or wire going to injector?
I made it back home 1000 mi with it missing on cyl 2 and reset computer and idled for 4 hrs ran fine with no CEL.
I then Drove 12 miles and could feel a definite miss and after 14 miles CEL flashing and then on and then off again but even with CEL of can feel a definite miss?
How does the circuit to the injectors work? and Can i replace computer with same ID Code or does it need a re-Flash.
I have replace Engine computer on 99 E-250 with Junkyard computer with same ID # and have had success without re-flashing with wierd problems like this?
Is this possible with 2005 model?
I have 10 1999 E-250's with the 5.4 but no problem like this before Kinda stumped HElp?
