Maybe if you get enough people involved NHTSA you can possibly convince Ford this is a safety issue and they might have to issue a recall.

If Ford refuses to acknowledge the problem , why are we using a Ford certified garage ?

There no doubt are other shops that will guarantee their work and probably do it for lower cost.

There is no doubt an ambulance body is heavier and could place more stress on a cab, but the body manufacturer and installer should get involved in this . The problem is to prove it.

i have been working on this problem for about 1 year the reason i use a ford body shop is they cant come back and tell me that it was the body shops fault and the problem is well documented and using ford replacement factory parts.

Unless something is changed, what is to prevent a repeat performance?
What kind of guarantee do they provide ? Something has to be beefed up .

Default Wrenchone .

My body man is reinforcing the frame on both inside frame and outside frame.mind you that all my units are 2019 E350 with a 138 inch wb.these units also have inner fender cracks which seam to be common on all E350 series which is also getting repaired we generally get 5 to 10 years out of our units we run 24/7 days a week we do give them a rest when possible.

In all seriousness, you have my sympathy.

As you know , folks driving an ambulance want to get to the scene yesterday and most are EMTs or other responders and not the least concerned of the mechanical aspects of ambulance operation. Those bodies are loaded with oxygen tanks and other heavy equip .
That is one of the reasons I felt the body manufacturer knows what demands are placed on a responding ambulance and should be aware what stresses their product places on a vehicle and inform the purchaser of that possibility before sale and installation.
The purchaser doesn't know this , but I believe the body manufacturer certainly does.
Who makes the decision as to what body goes on what size vehicle ?
