2007 E250 Vibration Issues
We use Ford E250's for the majority of our fleet for lift truck service technicians. We have a 2007 E250 currently with 15000 miles on it that has had bad vibration issues at highway speeds since we put it into service in January of this year.
We have been to multiple Ford dealers and had multiple alignments performed. One dealer installed a steering damper per a TSB on the van which did not help. Ford finally said last month that it had to be the tires, but that they would not cover them under warranty (a lot of the work that Ford had done was under warranty.)
We contacted the tire OEM (Hankook) who responded positively and covered a new set of tires under warranty. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem and the vibration issues are still there.
Has anyone else had these issues? The only final thing that we can come up with is that, with our vans being manufactured with a heavy duty suspension, that this van may not have enough weight in it and that may be at least a partial cause of the vibration (this technician does not work on lift trucks, but batteries, and therefore doesn't carry as much tooling or parts.)
Thanks to all for reading and any potential help you may have!
