Sounds like you didn't evacuate the system with a vacuum pump before recharging the system.Replace field coil??

Can you get your hands on a set of air cond gauges for R134 ?
The pressures will tell you a lot .

If I'm not mistaken, I believe raski meant the compressor clutch coil.

You can easily check that when it quits just apply power to the clutch coil wire after you disconnect it . Start the engine and connect a jumper from the wire going to the coil to a battery positive source. If the clutch engages and drives the compressor, , it's OK.

There are a few reasons for the clutch to drop out and that is why the gauges will help a lot.

I’ll try to get my hand on a set of gauges but it’s a brand new clutch and compressor and it’s doing the exact same thing as the old one. what are some of the other possibilities that would be for the compressor to quit like that Thinking maybe for some reason it’s losing power which I will check first thing tomorrow morning
