Exclamation Can't open rear door. Not an issue with cables. Bottom latch not operational

Hello Everyone,
I can't open my second (driver side) rear door on my 2010 E-150. I was told a common issue is the plastic parts on the cable break so I order metal replacement parts. Today I removed the handle and confirmed that all plastic parts are in working order/no broken plastic on handle side or latch side. The top latch/cable work perfect. The bottom one doesn't move at all when pulled.

Unfortunately I have no way to get to it/remove it as the door stuck closed. I have no idea what to do.

I would really appreciate any help you can provide. I need this van for work.

FYI. I just found out you can pry a little level through a gap directly next to the cable. That saved the day for me. Thanks for checking.
