E 350 rear brakes replacement
My father has gifted me his baby. It’s a big beautiful red E3 50 Econoline van. The engine has been completely rebuilt it is a 460. It is Road ready custom wheels and tires but the rear brakes were locking up the last time it was driven. I would really appreciate if anyone has any good resources for how to go about the replacement. I’m pretty decent with a wrench I’ve done a lot of my own tranny work and brake work and a lot of diagnostics. But the closest I’ve come to pulling apart a rear end is removing the driveshaft and reattaching it. So I need some good resources anyone that can help would be appreciated. I’m going to find out today if it is a fully floating or semi floating rear end. I will probably have to pull the axles so I figured if I’m gonna do that I might as well do a bearing job since it is probably never been torn into before.

Hi Rob,
Maybe I might be able to offer some suggestions that might save you some time effort and $$$.
Need to know what year and if the van has disc or drum brakes on the rear.
On some, you did not need to remove the axles and the drum (non disc) just came off. Discs are always easier.
Suppose we wait until we see just what you have before jumping the gun, OK ?
Do you have an auto supply store near and if so , which? Certain places carry OK stuff and others, maybe otherwise.
I would think with a 460 under the hood it has drum brakes in the rear, been wrong before, lol.
