5.0 engine, i have a crate motor and need to do the swap. It doesn't appear too bad but i don't want to spend a half day removing stuff not needed. I done a number of engine changes but never in a van Thanks

Some they take out the front wich requires taking apart the front to get the motor out.[hr]Some take them out from the inside.

You must remove it from the front. You need to take out the radiator, condenser, front grille, and upper radiator support. There is not enough room to remove the engine through the inside cover area. It is rather easy if you have the time.

I have yanked out 6cyl engines and 7.3L diesels out of E-series vans before. Not too bad of a job and like the others said, it must come out the front. Good luck!
