I have fuel line off just before fuel filter. I have no fuel coming out. checked emergency shut off and found no power. fuse is good, put jumper on relay and now power to emergency shut off but still no fuel when cranking motor. Note; fuel pump is about 1 year old. Am i missing something before i drop tank ? Of course full of gas/\.

 

When you first turn the key on, the ECM provides a ground for the fuel pump relay for 2-3 seconds ONLY. Do you hear the fuel pump run when you first turn the key on?
Yes/No ?

Please be careful when fuel gets pumped out of the line from the tank. Today's gasoline is not good at all to get on your skin. Use gloves.
Are you working in a garage or outside ? If you never had to drop a tank with more than half full,they can be quite heavy.and trying to balance that tank on a floor jack can be a hassle. Some tanks you can get a siphon hose inside to drain some and others I wound up using a length of windshield washer hose to start draining some of the gas. No other hose would get past the baffles. Took hours ! Could not afford any mistakes because there were others working inside the building.. As was nearly always the case, the pump failed after filling the tank.

 

Got it fixed/ Turns out somehow the connection on fuel pump came unplugged. on the pump itself . CRAZY !

 

Many times the fix is simple,but finding the cause is what takes all the time.
