Default Help ! 99 E-150 front end suspension damage

Well I recently hit some black ice and rammed the van into a curb.Right front tire effected ,rim slightly damaged ,tire now rubs to the rear wheel well upon turning right.I checked it out and found a bracket underneath bent back and am not sure of component name. plan to go to the boneyard for salvage.Looking for possible drawings or diagrams on line.Looks to be repairable.ie,do it yourselfer.Anyone have any input ? Would be greatly appreciated ,family now down to one vehicle.........One more year is all I want ! Thanks in advance. redfalcon

There are at least 2 things we try to keep in mind when offering suggestions involving vehicle problems.
The first one is to not offer any suggestions that would suggest the person break any laws.
The second one is always try to keep the party's safety in mind.
I can respect your trying to save on parts from a boneyard, but just replacing what you see now as a problem could have some unexpected and unseen damage that could affect your family's safety up the road. You will need to have a front end alignment done anyway ,so why not consider having an experienced shop look it over too.
