overdrive light flashing

Default overdrive light flashing
2003 e 350 check engine light on with overdrive light flashing.computer is reading that it is the range sensor is this a big job or does this sound like it could be something else.

I believe you are referring to the range switch on the left side of the transmission. Its not a big job. Before you decide to replace it , remove the plug and check for corrosion at the pins and contacts.
