Default Think I shorted something. OD light flashing/running rough

2004 Ford Econoline 350 van. Negative cable broke and I "rigged" it for a couple of days. Fixed negative terminal and next day when driving to work. Stopped at stop sign, took back off and van started sputtering bad. Looked at gouges and noticed Overdrive Off flashing on steering wheel Think I blew something. Because Trans changes fine until needing OD. But motor will barely pull off, then once it does. It drives ok. And advice will be greatly appreciated 🙏

A good point to keep in mind, whenever we suspect a possible electrical problem, check all the fuses. What you find there could tell you where the problem is.located.
It may not tell you exactly, but you would have a good idea where to start looking.
