Default 2004 Escape idles badly, possible fix

I have an 04 escape and recently it started idling very rough, almost turning off. I looked around and found a hard plastic hose that connected from the air intake to the engine was broken off at the engine. I fixed that but it didn't fix the problem. I got an engine light and it read p2195 which i've been told could mean anywhere from the oxygen sensor to a vacuum leak. I heard a hissing in the engine, but i'm not sure if it's normal. It'll either idle where it rumbles the whole car, or it'll idle like a constant pulsating and the lights in the car go from dim to bright. I'm really confused. I've read many different forums and can't seem to get a good answer on what I need to do. I can't afford to have it fixed so I need to do it myself. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks.
