2012 Escape Squeaky Noise Front Driver's Side
I recently bought a 2012 Ford Escape after trading in my 2006 with 124,000 miles.
My 2012 only has around 16,000 miles on it.
I have noticed after I have been driving it for awhile (like on a 15 min car ride or more), When I park it and get out of the car, I keep hearing this squeaky noise coming from the front, driver's side. I also have heard the same noise when going over larger speed humps. In fact, that is when I first noticed it.
I have taken it to the dealership several times, 2 times in the last 2 weeks. They have checked the shocks, struts, bushings (sp?) tire rods etc. They can't seem to duplicate the sound. It sounds like old bed springs.
This last time they had it 3 days and said they oil/lubed up all of the parts underneath to see if that would do the trick. I took it home tonight, and as soon as I turned off the car and got out, I heard it. If I open the door and push or "rock the car" I hear the same noise. However, if I wait about 3 or 4 minutes after the engine is shut off, It won't do it.
I am so frustrated. I guess I will call the dealership again on Monday. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Chad
